Your father's fever took a sudden turn for the worse. He's still conscious and even able to move and speak, and I'm keeping him in bed with fluids.

Minato and I are working together to bring it down.

Do you need help? I can't do anything directly about the fever, but I can provide drinks that are good for staying hydrated.

I'm actually messaging you as I head down to find some juice and water, but do you want to provide something that might be more likely to help?

Namely more than whatever I grab in a hurry? I'm still learning some of the drinks around here.



Also, I imagine it might be better for you to see him with your own eyes.

I have some things in mind. I'll meet you in the kitchen closest to his room.

[And he'll be there fast. There's no doubt that he's worried sick, his whole body is tense and he's fidgeting nervously with his rings and bracelets as he rushes to the fridge to grab some of the electrolyte water.]

I've made a few more and put them in my inventory, but I've been making sure to keep a stock of drinks that are good for dehydration.

[ Aiden's there... after a bit. He's feeling a bit tired, already, given he's only mostly recovered... ]

Ah... These should be really helpful. [ a nod ] Including... after the fever breaks, and he's in the recovery period.

[ There's a quiet exhale... and then he's going to somewhat hesitantly reach out to rest a (what he hopes is) comforting hand on Goro's shoulder. ]

He'll be okay... I'm sure of it.

I hope so. I'm actually very worried about him...

[As weird as it feels to say it.]

Sugary drinks can make illness worse, so stick to the unflavored ones.

[ He nods. ]

I'll admit-... I'm worried, too... [ holding a blink ] He didn't react well to the cold towels, and his response indicated a pretty high fever... But, that's...

[ A deep breath! ]

... exactly why I'm not giving up. Fortunately, keeping cold water on him won't be a problem.

It probably felt painfully cold to him.

[After a second of thought, he reaches into the freezer and pulls out a tray of ice cubes.]

We'll see if we can get him to keep these in his mouth. They should help lower his temperature and keep him hydrated at the same time.

I assumed as much... and I did apologize that it might.

[ After sighing and dragging a hand over his face, he nods. ]

Right. That's likely much better than just water. [ gathering some juice and snacks for himself and Minato, too! ] Let's go, then.
