Typically either through natural degradation from being dead and unable to care for yourself properly, or being attacked by a psychic being, without a body to protect you. There are probably other ways, I haven't been at this nearly long enough to know all the unusual stories, but that's how it usually happens.

If I knew whether he was actually sharing that data or had just made a copy of it, I might be able to disentangle the two of you, but it's hard to tell with it being identical. Besides, he might lose his ability to communicate with you, and I'm not sure if I have enough power here to turn a soul physical.

It is possible to repair a damaged soul, but I would need time to sort out what belongs where. I've never dealt with a complicated case like this, so there would be a lot of uncertainties.
I care, and I'm sure Pharos-kun does too. And if I do this right, neither of you will be hurt. I'll take my time, and make sure I know what I'm looking at before I do anything.

I've been a Persona user for over three years, and I have other powers as well. I wouldn't try to fight it, but I might be one of the best people to make sure nobody else gets badly hurt.

It does matter. Whether or not you get hurt is important, too. But if it's not hostile to you, aside from a painful method of appearance, I won't hesitate to escape if I'm the only one in potential danger.
